4 "Non Coffee" Superfood Lattes

Hey guys, sometimes we just want to enjoy a warm cup of latte without the side effects of caffeine. I want to share with you 4 Superfood Lattes, which you can enjoy any time of the day plus they are extremely nutritious and dairy free.

So we’ve got my favourite Matcha Vanilla Latte, Rooibos Tea Latte, Coconut Chocolate Latte and Spiced Tea Latte.

1) Matcha Vanilla Latte

I love the flavor of Matcha and it has a lot of amazing benefits. It is packed with antioxidants, which keeps your heart healthy. Drinking Matcha regularly can also help boost memory and concentration and it keeps you calm. So it’s perfect to drink at work.

To make this cup of latte, you’ll need are:

Ingredients:

  1. ½ cup Soy Milk – 64Cals
  2. ½ cup Hot Water
  3. 1 tsp. Matcha Green Tea Powder – 12Cals
  4. 1 tsp. Maple Syrup – 17Cals
  5. ¼ tsp. Vanilla Extract – 4Cals

Total Calories: 97Cals

 

Next, is the Rooibos Tea Latte

2) Rooibos Tea Latte

Rooibos is a herbal plant that is absolutely free from caffeine. Drinking this tea can also ease stomach cramps and improve your digestion. So this is perfect to enjoy after a meal.

To make this, I’ve used

Ingredients:

  1. 1 Rooibos tea bag
  2. ½ cup Hot Water
  3. ½ cup Soy Milk – 64Cals
  4. 1 tsp. Maple Syrup – 17Cals
  5. 1/8 tsp. Cinnamon Powder

Total Calories: 81Cals

3) Coconut Chocolate Latte

Instead of using dairy milk to make a cup of hot chocolate, I’m using coconut milk. Coconut milk is dairy-free, so this drink is perfect for those of you who are lactose intolerant. It is also rich in electrolytes and healthy fats, which improves gut health - preventing and treating constipation or IBS.

What you’ll need are:

Ingredients:

  1. ½ cup Coconut Milk – Cals
  2. ½ cup Water
  3. 1 tbsp. Raw Cacao Powder – 31Cals
  4. 1 tsp. Maple Syrup – 17Cals
  5. ¼ tsp. Vanilla Extract – 4Cals

Total Calories: 515Cals

4) Spiced Tea Latte

Turmeric and ginger are two very powerful spices that have been widely used in local Asian dishes. Did you know that these spices can also be used to make TEA?

Their benefits include protecting the heart, aids digestion, reduces inflammation, reduces bad cholesterol levels, prevents cancer, and strengthens the immune system.

Ingredients:

  1. ½ cup Coconut milk – 222.5Cals
  2. ½ cup Hot Water
  3. 1/8 tsp. Turmeric – 2Cals
  4. 1/8 tsp. Cinnamon Powder
  5. 1 tsp. Ginger Powder – 6Cals
  6. 1 tsp. Maple Syrup – 17Cals

Total Calories: 247.5Cals

Steps:

  1. In a mug mix the dry ingredients or steep the tea bag with hot water. Stir until the powder is fully dissolved.
  2. Then sweeten it with a teaspoon of maple syrup or honey. At this point, you can also choose to flavor it with ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Then stir again.
  3. Next, warm the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. You can use either soy milk or coconut milk.
  4. Pour the milk into a cup and froth the milk with an electric milk frother.
  5. Then pour the milk into the drink mixture and serve warm.
